This is a work originating from the ‘chicken or egg first’ problem. I am often amazed by the eggs’ ability to adapt; we can make all sorts of genetic alterations during its growth. Mature oocyte cryopreservation has become a capitalised service for the privileged. The hybrid egg sculptures are made of plaster, with cracks and indents filled with black clay, the two materials are like fire and water in the kiln, only in its cold form as such, they can remain in harmony for a short period. I am a believer of the egg first theory.
